Last Spring I got the Jaspe Sequined Sweatshirt while shopping with other JCAs from the DC area. This beautiful piece has been seating in my closet unworn until today. The weather was incredibly cold and windy so I thought it would be the perfect time to wear it with jeggings and flat boots.

Before meeting my friends for dim sum, I stopped by Georgetown to visit one of my favorite cupcake places in DC, Baked & Wired, which has the best Strawberry cupcake in the city. I picked up a few just so I could have a week supply of these delicious baked goods. I even got their new vegan cupcake, which I am very excited to try. Now the question is, will these cupcakes really last a week sitting in my kitchen? I doubt it.

Love the sweatshirt.....can you tell that bakery to make a gluten free cupcake please? Oh man they look delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteSummerilla, I think Baked & Wired is going on the right direction. They just started making the vegan cupcakes, so I am hoping a gluten free cupcake is on the works.
ReplyDeleterosa - you crack me up - a week's worth of cupcakes? I love it!
ReplyDeletehave you tried crumb's yet? summerilla - I know you really like it, and I enjoyed it (def. better than red velvet) but baked and wired is still the best in my book!
Kater - yes they have crumbs in NYC I used to eat them all the time, but they don't make gluten free ones either. They make one called flourless or something but it's deceiving it still has flour!
ReplyDeleteLove the sweatshirt-----also liking the new one, sequin sweatshirt, did you see it??
ReplyDeleteHi, Tom (laugh)...
ReplyDeleteThe sweatshirt made its debut in a perfect way. :) Tell me, though, did any of the icing get on the sequins?
I need to try the flat boot look...must wait for after-Christmas sales, though...
I don't live in DC anymore but when I do visit I like to go to Baked & Wired. I did not see the strawberry cupcake on my last visit so that's a must the next time I am in town.
ReplyDeleteLove the sweatshirt with the jeggings and flat boots. I have it as well but have not worn it yet because I know I am going to spill something on it and I'm not sure of the best cleaning method for it yet. Any suggestions?
Mrs anketell, I saw the new version of sequined sweatshirt and if I did not have the Jaspe already, I would probably get it!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, I totally understand your fear about washing the sweatshirt. I think I am just gonna hand wash mine. I mentioned my worried about washing this sweatshirt to my PS in the store and she said that if anything were to happen, I can always bring it back because it is a collection item.
Rosa, that's good to know. Perhaps I should get a back up (just in case!) since this has been popping back on the site lately. You can't beat the sale price with a code.
ReplyDeletel-o-v-e! that sweatshirt is awesome. i've been strolling by the sequined babies and sighing all the way to my wallet restrictioned bag. life is not fair!
